If you don't already know about this . . . kids eat free every night after 5PM at McAllister's Deli, located in the shops near the Wal-Mart on Tower Road. They offer things like pita pizzas, salads, turkey sandwiches on wheat, and other health(ier) choices on their kids' menu. (Our picky eaters love their pita pizzas.) And mom and dad get to eat something a bit tastier and healthier than typical fast food -- really good salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, flatbread pizzas, and baked potatoes! And the great deal is this . . . most places indicate you get one free kids' meal with each adult meal purchased. At McAllister's, EVERY kid gets a free meal -- and it includes a drink and a side for most entrees. So, we get three free meals for our kids when we go and in the end we end up spending less than we would at McDonald's for a much nicer meal.
